Frequently Asked Questions About The Volcano Vaporizer

The following answers will help you understand more about the Volcano Vaporizer. These are answers to the questions we get the most.

The Volcano Vaporizer - What is It?

It's an electric vaporizer that uses heat to activate the ingredients in herbs and other types of plants until they are in a vaporized state just before the point of when smoke is produced.

What Can I Use The Volcano Vaporizer for?

The Volcano Vaporizer is great for aromatherapy methods and is a much better alternative than actually smoking. Many people use the Volcano Vaporizer to stop smoking. Adding aroma to a room is easy just by heating herbs and oils without the risk of an open flame of a candle. Vogue Magazine even reported that chefs are using the Volcano Vaporizer while cooking to add the perfect flavor to their food.

Why is the Volcano Vaporizer More Expensive than other Vaporizers?

The Volcano Vaporizers are hand crafted in Germany by the well known manufacturers Storz & Bickel. No expense was spared while developing the Volcano Vaporizer. Markus Storz, the inventor made sure of that. He made sure that the machine was precision engineered to obtain maximum efficiency from the plants while taking lung health into consideration as well. There are many versions that are cheaper but we know that The Volcano Vaporizer System is the best one available. In short, the Volcano Vaporizer is the best vaporizer you could ever spend your money on.

What makes the Volcano Digit more expensive than the Volcano Digit? What are their differences?

Volcano Digit has a digital temperature readout with a more precise temperature control. The Volcano Classic has a temperature accuracy of +/- 9 degrees Fahrenheit whereas the Volcano Digit has a much more accurate temperature that only varies +/- 2.7 degrees Fahrenheit. Additionally, the Volcano Digit has a larger temperature range that goes from 104 to 446 degrees Fahrenheit and the Volcano Classic temperature ranges only go from 226-446 degrees Fahrenheit. They do both interchange with both the Solid Valve system and the Easy Valve System and both models offers an advanced air filtration with the silencer that makes the machines run very quiet. The Volcano Classic comes with a full 3 year warranty and the Volcano Digit only has a 2 year warranty because of all the sophisticated interior workings. The Volcano Vaporizer Digital is better if you need a precise temperature control but if you don't the Volcano Vaporizer Classic is a great value for your money.

What's the Numbers Stand for on the Volcano Classic Vaporizer?

The numbers go from 1 to 9 which each match a temperature between 226 to 439 degrees Fahrenheit. There is a complete overview of the temperature table that comes with your Volcano Vaporizer. Most people use the number 7 setting for their needs on the Volcano Classic. We do recommend the Volcano Digital users start out with a temperature of 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Can the Plant Matter I'm Using Burn?

No, you won't have to worry about that with the Volcano Vaporizers like you do with other brands of vaporizers. Storz & Bickel makes user safety a top priority. Each Volcano unit is designed so that temperatures for combustion cannot be reached.

What Temperature Should I Use?

You will learn very fast what temperature is the most efficient for you to use because you can see the vapor build up in the balloon. The temperature is right when you see a fine white mist. If you can barely see the vapor the temperature is too low or the plant material has nothing left to give off. The Volcano Classic setting 7 is the one used most often. For the Volcano Digital model, you should start with a setting of 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Can You Inhale Any Substance From the Balloon?

No, you won't have to worry about that. User safety is top priority for Storz & Bickel and they made sure that this won't happen. Oven bags that can be purchased at any store are used for the balloon material and are perfect for these vaporizers. They can withstand heat up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit and the air temperature of the vaporizers only reaches 266 degrees Fahrenheit when it enters the balloon. The air is cooled because of the large area it passes through so it can be inhaled as soon as the balloon is full. Oven bags have no softeners and are food-grade and heatproof and have no taste at all.

What About the Smell?

When compared to smoking, the smell is minimal with a vaporizer. There is no smoke created and there are no adverse effects to sharing the same room with someone who doesn't smoke. Odors normally leave within just a few minutes.
